Zwönitz mining history

From the town information at the market, it goes downhill to Austelvilla, from there turn right into Austelpark. Here we find the mine entrances of the Communzeche “Neues Glück” and after crossing under the Zwönitz bypass road, the entrance to the adit “Gottes Segen”. We cross Annaberger Straße and, walking to the left, reach the “Waterfall”. At the dog sports field, a few steps lead down to the Communzeche “St. Christoph”. Crossing the road to Geyer, we reach the “Felsbauend Glück” adit and a water treading basin. After crossing the Zwönitz river, we continue uphill to its source. Now the route goes across the forest to “Dreienweg” and further to “Schlangenweg”, “Mauswinkel” and “Türckschanze”. After crossing Grünhainer Straße and passing the “Silberstollen”, we soon arrive in the district of Kühnhaide. There, going downhill, we find the Huthaus of the “Pauckner Stolln” and the “Mining Tradition Corner”. Here we turn right and continue to the market.
