The park surrounds the historic town centre of Zittau with botanical special features and notable buildings, including the butchers’ bastion with flower clock, the Church of the Holy Cross with the large Zittau Lent Cloth, the building trade school, the Gerhart Hauptmann Theatre, the post office, the classical town swimming pool, fountains, and playgrounds.
