The route starts at the trail entry at the Schöneck roundabout. After a short right turn toward Tannenhaus, it then immediately turns left towards Sandweg, passing the Neuwald pond and the upstream dam of the Muldenberg reservoir. Along the ridge path by the railway, it leads back to the Meiler area where a refreshment awaits.

The route starts at the trail entry at the Schöneck roundabout. Along the ridge path by the railway, it leads back to the Meiler area where a refreshment awaits.
In Schöneck follow the signs for Parking Garage / Ski World / IFA Ferienpark. Park in the garage and return to the roundabout. Cross the street and walk along the forest path to the snack bar "Am Meiler." Here begins the winter hiking trail to Muldenberg.

Take the RB1 line of the Vogtlandbahn to the IFA Ferienpark stop. There is a hiking and trail house here with changing rooms, sprinters, showers, and toilets. The entrance to the winter hiking trails is about 200 m to the left of the stop.
You can also use the bus lines "TaktBUS22" from Muldenberg, "+Bus90" from Plauen / Oelsnitz, or "TaktBUS93" from Bad Elster to get off at the IFA Ferienpark stop and start the winter hiking trails right away.
