Recreation area "Muldenquelle am Meiler"
Cross-country trail access at the Schöneck roundabout
Cross the street at the roundabout and follow the path towards the snack bar "Meilerhütte". At the crossroads stay right and after about 200m you turn left. After a short distance, follow the path to the right and cross the street. The Kirchsteig to Kottenheide begins on the opposite side and is marked as a winter hiking trail. Crossing the place, we leave Kottenheide in the direction of Muldenberg and walk over the pre-barrier back to Schöneck.
The Hotel & Restaurant "Haus am Ahorn" is located in Kottenheide. Here you can stop off comfortably or just enjoy a mulled wine.
In Schöneck, follow the signs for Parkhaus / Skiwelt / IFA Ferienpark. Park your car here and go back to the roundabout.
In the parking garage at the IFA holiday park.
Take the RB1 line of the Vogtlandbahn to the stop IFA Ferienpark. There is a hiking and trail house in which there are changing rooms, sprinting, showers and toilets. Keep left and cross the main street at the bus stop. The winter hiking trail begins opposite.
With the "TaktBUS22" bus from Muldenberg, the "+ Bus90" from Plauen / Oelsnitz, or the "TaktBUS93" from Bad Elster, you can use the bus stop at the IFA Ferienpark and start your hike straight away.
