Short sunny winter circular route past the leisure pool and the mining town of Geyer with great views over the Ore Mountains.

From the parking lot at Thumer Str., follow Badstraße towards the leisure pool and continue straight ahead to the edge of the forest with a shelter. Here, turn right and walk along the forest edge towards the town area of Geyer. The last section of the slope is also the “sledding hill at Waltershöhe.” At the bottom, turn right and walk parallel to the cross-country ski trail back to the parking lot, slightly uphill. The winter hiking trail is very sunny and offers beautiful ridge views. There is a connection for pedestrians to the town of Geyer, the Greifenbach valley with the ski jump complex, and the Greifenbach reservoir.
