Parking lot Ottomühle
Parking lot Ottomühle
The tour starts at the parking lot in front of the Ottomühle mill in the Bielatal valley. The trail leads along the road via the Ottomühle mill to the junction in the direction of Grenzplatte (follow the "red line" trail markings). In snow and ice, the following ascent over steps must be tackled with caution. The trail continues along a forest road to the turn-off to Grenzplatte. From the plateau of the Grenzplatte you have a wonderful view of the rocky peaks of the Biella Valley and Ostrov in Bohemian Switzerland.
The way back initially leads along a forest path, then branches off onto a well-maintained forest road, which then continues downhill to the Ottomühle mill.
The hiking trails are not cleared of snow and ice in winter. Walking on them is at your own risk.
Please note: in the Saxon Switzerland National Park, only marked trails may be used in the core zone.
Fines may be imposed for violations.
