A hike between history, nature and culture. A section of the Via Sacra with plenty of variety along the way. A flat, approx. 17 km long stage with beautiful alley-like field paths!

The tour starts in the Lessing town of Kamenz and is a worthwhile tour of the town, both from a religious and historical perspective. The monastery church of St. Annen with its sacral museum and St. Mary's Church, the passage through the monastery gate to the Fleischbänken and the market square with the town hall and the beautiful Andreasbrunnen fountain. The Herrental valley with its memorial tells stories of the past. The hike initially leads through the suburbs of Kamenz, then through shady forests and across fields. In Sorbian villages you will find the typical three-sided farmsteads and many crosses. The route leads along beautiful old country lanes, some of which even look like alleyways. On the Via Regia in the direction of Panschwitz-Kuckau, you will discover a remarkable resurrection column at the end of Dürrwicknitz. The highlight of this section is the St. Marienstern monastery in Panschwitz-Kuckau. The destination is the Crostwitz church.
