A route following the traces of mining to the mining town of Geyer.
Wolkenstein market
Wolkenstein market
Starting from the market, riding through the town hall gate, you reach the Zschopau Valley cycle path, now crossing over to the other side of the river via Niederau, then Thermalbad Wiesenbad, Wiesa (crossing the B 95 in Schönfeld) to Tannenberg, here at the Passklause Tower continue straight through Siebenhöfen to the mining town of Geyer, where after a short steep climb (street: An der Binge) our destination is reached. The return journey begins at the Huthaus, turning onto Bingeweg towards Ehrenfriedersdorfer Straße, then shortly turning right downhill. At the Greifenbachmill, use the left-turning cycle path to Ehrenfriedersdorf to the B 95, here turn left over Markt, Neumarkt, and Wettinstraße to Seifentalstraße. You follow the yellow marking until it joins the green marked Lindenweg. Here you turn left towards Laube, then right on the Zschopau Valley cycle path through the Heidelbach valley to the town of Wolkenstein.

Sights:
- For those who don’t shy away from two short climbs at the beginning, the panoramic route is recommended as an alternative from Wolkenstein market
to Niederau.
- The attractive spa park in Thermalbad Wiesenbad is located directly on the route.
- The main goal of this route is an impressive monument to the history of
tin mining. Near the route, at Sauberg, is the
visitor mine “Zinngrube Ehrenfriedersdorf” and the Mineralogical Museum.
The name Seifental also points to the former extraction of tin ore by
washing out.
- The route passes the planet trail. The detour to the observatory in Drebach is
suitable for cycling.
