Circular hike through pristine nature with magnificent views
“Raubschloss in Klausenbachtal”
Before the hiker reaches the “Raubschloss” in Klausenbachtal, they experience overwhelming views of Zwotatal and towards Klingenthal while ascending the 691m high Herrenberg. The path then leads to Schwarzberg, through the rustic Klausenbachtal with a view to the former Raubschloss, and back through the wild-romantic Glasbachtal.

We start at Hammerplatz and walk up Herrenberg (691 m) (Höhensteig Klingenthal on green and Vogtlandweg on blue marking). Along the way we pass on the right tennis courts, a garden area, and a dog sports field. Then we reach Schwarzbergstraße and continue right on (green/red) into Klausenbachtal. Before that, the Höhensteig Klingenthal (green) and the long-distance trail (red) turn right to the forester's house on Jägerstraße. We reach Klausenbachweg and hike 200 m on it towards Kottenheide. Here on the mountain, in a quarry on the right, stood the former Raubschloss (More explanations can be found on the information board).
We continue our hike on Klausenbachweg, where from the left the trail with yellow marking leads from Zwota to Vogtland Arena.
On this path (yellow) we walk towards Hammerplatz Zwota. We reach Schwarzbergweg and walk towards Kottenheide, turning right on (blue/red) and come to a shelter in the upper Glasbachtal. We go left on yellow marking along Glasbachweg next to Schwarzbächel into the valley, reach the “Spechtensteig” and soon the Glasbachteich. From here we continue on yellow to Schönecker Straße and back to the starting point, Hammerplatz.
