On the 14.5 km long hiking route, there is the option to take a shortcut both at the "three-story quarry" (approx. 8 km) and in Dürrenberg (approx. 12 km).

No other landscape in the Greiz district is as strongly shaped by the surrounding orchards as Bad Köstritz. As cultural heritage, valuable biotope, and not least supplier of high-quality food, the natural area plays an important role. The blooming and fragrant meadows with the diversity of trees require intensive care and represent an extraordinarily important habitat. The hiking route of up to 15 km leads through the town of Bad Köstritz with its diverse sights such as the dahlia center in the House of Guests with tourist information and the Heinrich-Schütz-Haus. You will also discover small villages with renovated farms and houses along the way, as well as the magnificent meadow and field paths with panoramic views of the region.
