The starting point of the nature trail is the street Am Taubenberg, an extension of Neutaubenheimer Straße, where parking spaces for cars are available on the right. Quite quickly it goes slightly uphill into the silence of the forest.
Upon reaching the first junction - where there is also a covered seating area - a short path can be taken left to the Flössel pond.
Returning to the junction, continue walking left and then follow the path turning right.
This section leads to the so-called “Gottwerkstraße” or also called "Guttwaig," where the hiker will find another covered seating area.
Continue left uphill, and after a further stretch of the path, follow the ridge path, keeping slightly left.
A highlight of the hike is an abandoned quarry, the Schalenbruch, which is filled with water and surrounded by steep rock walls, marking an idyllic spot. Here there are further romantic rest areas. The path continues straight north and then turns right uphill again to the height of the Taubenberg; here you are on the ring path. On the high plateau stands the triangulation pillar, an important surveying point in the region. This is also a place to rest. Going downhill, you will recognize the junction again and turn left until you reach the “Gottwerkstraße” again. Now the hiker has the choice to either return directly by turning right or to reach the settlement on the wide path and enjoy a wonderful view beforehand. Those who choose the latter reach the street Am Bahndamm, which is followed to the right; then right again into Am Viebig street, which is walked completely; then the Neutaubenheimer Straße and following it, the street Am Taubenberg is reached, and the parking space lies again before the hiker. A stop in the village will refresh all the exhausted and can be well planned in.]
