Mousetrap, Elephant Stones, and Fox's Chair: there is a great deal of animal-themed discovery to be made in the Zittau Mountains.

The shape of some sandstone rocks resembles a dove, rhinoceros, lion, or even a brooding hen. Such bizarre creations can be admired, among others, in the Jonsdorf millstone quarries, where rock formations are also called organ, teapot, or "Three Brothers." Between the spa town Oybin and Töpfer, part of the path through the Steinzoo is even suitable for outings with strollers. Around the Fox's Chair in the air spa Lückendorf, the animal search can be combined with a detour to the Karlsfried castle ruin. Freda and her friends accompany you and your children through the three animal-themed hikes along the Steinzoo. How were the rock formations actually formed and who is Freda? Discover the Steinzoo together in the Zittau Mountains Nature Park.
