Now you can look forward to a long descent. Past the Zinnwald visitor mine, you roll along the Aschergraben.

You pass the mouth of the Tiefe-Hilfe-Gottes-Stolln mine. The mine field, which is accessed via the mouth hole, has been used for ore mining several times since 1749. Via Geising, you reach one of the oldest settlements in the Eastern Ore Mountains: Lauenstein. The castle with its 800-year history is enthroned on a rock above the Müglitz valley. The route continues towards the Altenberg ice canal. Olympic champions and world champions train on the 18 steep bends of one of the most challenging artificial ice tracks for bobsleigh and luge.
