This is where the route deviates from the original for the first time.
The Stoneman Miriquidi Road in the C-Edition leads over almost 23 kilometers through the picturesque valley of the Freiberg Mulde via the mining town of Altenberg to the district of Zinnwald. In the sports and health resort of Altenberg, it is not just a world-famous ice channel that awaits you. Historically, Altenberg was shaped by the mining of tin ore. The route takes you right past a relic of this time. The impressive Altenberger Pinge covers an area of twelve hectares and is the largest monument to mining in the Eastern Ore Mountains. The tour then continues to the Zinnwald district: the checkpoint is located opposite the weather station. From there, it is worth making a detour to the Georgenfelder Hochmoor, one of the oldest nature reserves in Saxony.
