Water, forest and treasures in the homeland of carp, stork and otter
The "Tour der schönen Teiche" is the most family-friendly route of the Heidebogen circular trails due to its cyclist-friendly terrain. It was designed so that a transition to or from other cycling routes of Upper Lusatia, such as the Frog Cycle Path or Krabat Cycle Path, is possible.
On a stretch of about 40 km, the cyclist crosses the foothills of the West Lusatian hill and mountain landscape and the Upper Lusatian heath and pond landscape with largely untouched nature with ponds, moors and forests. In addition, there is much of interest to discover along the way, often originating from the eventful history of the region. For a refreshment, you can visit the Bernsdorf forest pool, a cozy and quietly located natural pool.
