The Erzgebirge Vogtland ridge route is a true summit meeting, as it leads along the Saxon-Bohemian border for 180 kilometers from Schöneck in Vogtland to Altenberg.

Along the entire bike route, you are in the Erzgebirge-Vogtland Nature Park with its scenic variety and astonishing views and vistas. The route starts in the highest town of Vogtland – Schöneck, the so-called "balcony of Vogtland." The viewing rock "Alter Söll" offers a breathtaking overview of the upper Vogtland, the Elster valley, and the Thuringian Forest. The path continues to the music and winter sports town Klingenthal with the holiday resort Mühlleithen.

At the next stop in Muldenhammer, more precisely in Schneckenstein, awaits the only topaz rock in Europe. Here, a visit to the Tannenberg mine is also recommended, which takes its visitors on a journey through time from the 15th century to the modern era. In Morgenröthe-Rautenkranz is the German Space Travel Exhibition. It would be a sin not to make a short detour to this impressive museum.
