From mustard factories, mustard mills to breweries, ... beer gardens and inns, you'll find everything along the way. This route invites you to relax: It's not just about culinary delights here, but also about enjoying nature. And both are known to be good for body and soul. Please note: We recommend checking the opening times in advance!

The tour starts at the tourist information office: here you will find a selection of regional products and the best tour tips. From here, it's off to the mustard store and museum. Because, of course, the famous Bautzen mustard is a must on a pleasure hike. Here you can discover and taste many different varieties. Past St. Peter's Cathedral and the ruins of the Nicolai Church, you now walk down the Nicolai steps to the Spree.

The hammer mill, a unique technical monument, awaits you there. Delicious mustard and oils, such as linseed oil, are still produced here today. You can also find other regional products in the mill store. You now follow the Spree on the old town side to the Spreeblick beer garden. This is located almost below the Friedensbrücke bridge and offers fantastic views as well as fresh beer from the Bautzen brewery "Frenzel Bräu". Although the hike has only just begun, we still recommend taking a break. If you want to continue straight away, you can stop by the brewery shop on the way back.

The route now heads upstream out of the city towards Humboldthain. Here you can now enjoy peaceful and relaxing nature. Next, you will reach the small village of Grubschütz, where you will find the country hotel "Zur guten Einkehr" with its restaurant. Here you can relax in an idyllic location before returning to Bautzen. On the way back, you can stop off at the Frenzel Bräu brewery store or take a guided tour of the brewery (for dates and times, see .
