The path connects the two sister cities Plauen and Hof. It leads from town hall to town hall and spans nearly 35 km through one of the most beautiful areas of the Vogtland.

Created shortly after the reunification of Germany, it stands symbolically for it. In the area of the former border, it meets untouched nature with enormous scenic and architectural charms.

The hiking trail is easily walkable, marked with blue signs, and overlaps largely with the Way of St. James (pilgrimage path). In Hof and Plauen there are numerous sights to see and the hiker has many opportunities to stop for refreshments and overnight stays.
