This cycle path connects those scenic places and their charming landscape, from where the Vögte of Weida established their territorial lordship.

On this route, both rich in history and beautiful in scenery, you pass through hilly land, quiet valleys as well as forests and meadows. The route runs on country roads, secondary roads, field and meadow paths. At some stops along the way, allow yourself to experience a piece of Vogtland history - for example at the Osterburg in Weida, considered the historic origin of the Vogtland. The total route covers approximately 37 km from Wünschendorf via Weida to Hohenleuben to Reichenfels castle and back to Wünschendorf.

  • Wünschendorf: Historic wooden bridge, St. Veit church, fairy tale forest, Mildenfurth Monastery, cable car station and canoe rental
  • Weida: Osterburg with museum, Lohgerberei museum, Widen church, St. Marien church, numerous inns and cafés
  • Hohenleuben: Reichenfels castle ruins and museum, church, Büttner farm cheese dairy
  • Langenwetzendorf: historic half-timbered and farmhouses
