At each location an A4 stainless steel board, attached to a hiking trail post next to the sculpture. Based on the legend of the Hüttematths, a circular route has been created with the following stations, which relate to the places of the legend: - Lange Hütte in the Saigerhütte Olbernhau Grünthal (part of the UNESCO World Heritage) - at the Kupferhammer - entrance to Hüttengrund - in the forest between Hüttengrund and Kalter Kober - Hand crossroads - Tiefer Graben Route: The circular hiking trail marked with a green dot starts at the Lange Hütte in the Saigerhütte area. Passing the Kupferhammer, we follow the marker towards Hüttengrund. The street and the Flöha are crossed. The path leads through Hüttengrund towards Kalter Kober. Along the way, three stations with carvings and pictorial representations are passed. The path then continues uphill to the "Hand" crossroads, where another object is installed. After about 50 meters on the way back, you turn left onto the Dürrer Holzweg. There, two exhibition pieces by Manuela Stock on the topic of Hüttematths are passed. From the Dürrer Holzweg, turn right towards Tiefer Graben. The path leads downhill until you reach the KAMMweg in Tiefer Graben. Follow this to the right towards Kirchweg/forest edge. There you have a very nice view of Olbernhau. Two more glass objects have been passed up to that point. We follow the KAMMweg and the green dot marking back into the Saigerhütte area. Before that, the Oberneuschönberger Church is passed. There, the carver Hans Lichtenberger contributed a dog with a doghouse for the legend trail. The legend of the Hüttematths is not only known in Olbernhau. The end of the story, where a black dog jumps on the back of the hiker to carry him for a piece of the path, is ancient and has been passed down from generation to generation. Hannes Schaller from Rothenthal has taken up this story once again. He transformed the old legend of the hammer steward Matthes, who made a pact with the devil, into verse form. The special thing is that for the first time, he included many self-painted and detailed pictures, creating a unique work. The Saigerhütte association Olbernhau-Grünthal e.V. is so enthusiastic and impressed by the pictures and story that the idea was born to publish the story and pictures in a book and make it accessible to many readers. On October 22, 2017, at 5 p.m., the freshly printed book was presented in a book reading by the author in the Theater Variabel. After the reading, the author personally signed the books. The book "The Hüttematths" with text and pictures by Hannes Schaller and published by the Saigerhütte association Olbernhau-Grünthal e.V. is subsequently available in bookstores in Olbernhau, the Olbernhau Tourist Information, and in the hut shop of the Saigerhütte area (part of the UNESCO World Heritage).
