The hike starts in Edle Krone, a small old mining village.

From here, the trail leads through the wild and romantic valley of the Wild Weißeritz, past the Dorfhain waterworks, with the opportunity to visit the adventure pool in Dorfhain.

Traces of mining activity from the 12th to the 19th century can still be found along the educational mining trail. Many information boards provide information about mills, mining tunnels and geological features up to the visitor mine, where you can gain an insight into the work of miners underground.

The trail leads us via the game reserve to the Klingenberg dam. In 2014, it was 100 years old and we cross the matchstick bridge and follow the former material path to the Hotel Neuklingenberger Höhe and on to Klingenberg railroad station. At the end of the village towards Grillenburg, the path leads into the Tharandt forest to the Seerenteich pond, which was once used as a reservoir for timber rafting. After approx. 4 km along the Seerenbach stream, we reach Edle Krone.
