The last stage on the Oberlausitzer Bergweg leads you from Oybin to your destination in Zittau.

On the last hiking day of your tour along the Oberlausitzer Bergweg, you will once again pass through the wild romantic beauties of Germany's smallest low mountain range with its partly bizarre sandstone formations.

The 569 meter high Scharfenstein offers you another view of the idyllically located Oybin. Deep below you may see the traditional narrow-gauge railway that makes its way through the valley to Zittau.

The Three-Country Point, the border point between Germany, the Czech Republic, and Poland, illustrates how varied the political history of the cultural landscape you have traversed was and how important open borders of a united Europe are for all people.

The border river Neisse now accompanies you into the historic town of Zittau, one of the towns of the well-known Six-City League of the Middle Ages. We recommend an evening stroll through Zittau's medieval old town.
