The circular hike from Frohburg crosses the state borders of Saxony and Thuringia into the nature reserve "Eschefelder Teiche" and back.

The charming town of Frohburg is worth seeing for multiple reasons. With rich forest landscapes, the Wyhra river, its lush river meadows, and idyllic ponds, you still encounter a piece of untouched nature here. The circular hike leads into the nature reserve "Eschefelder Teiche", a 525-hectare area home to more than 100 bird species. At the nature conservation station Teichhaus, operated by NABU Saxony since 1996, exhibitions and the library provide insight into this unique cultural landscape. Besides nature lovers, enthusiasts of historical sights, recreation seekers, and sports and action fans will find something for themselves. A visit to Frohburg Castle with its extensive ceramics and toy collection and the adjoining English-style park should definitely be planned.
