On the approximately 6 km long family-friendly circular route along the shores of the Bleiloch Reservoir, you can experience the construction, development, and diversity of mushrooms at various stations.
The mushroom character "Maroni" leads young and old into his diverse world of mushrooms at 13 different stations. From the mycelium to the mushroom cap, from mythology and legends to athlete's foot or radioactivity, you can learn and actively experience a lot about mushrooms with "Maroni." Starting at the parking lot at the entrance to Gräfenwarth with a mushroom mycelium made of ropes, you trace the life of the mushrooms. Multidimensional mushroom caps, stems, and spores made of wood bring the variety of mushroom shapes close at the different stations. In the "fairy-tale room" you can learn about the mythology and legends of mushrooms. Fairy tales written specifically for the experience trail explain how mushrooms got their appearance. The functions of mushrooms in the ecosystem or topics such as athlete's foot, molds, or radioactivity are also vividly demonstrated. And incidentally, you can enjoy wonderful views of the Saale river.
