Let's make a detour into the picturesque old town of Wurzen. We follow the street inward from the direction of Grimma and pass through the railway underpass. Then we turn right and immediately left again. Worth visiting is, for example, the museum with the Ringelnatz collection or the St. Wenceslai church. We pass through the old town and keep diagonally left to the cycle path, which runs along the right side of the city park, leading us back to the route. Now it goes straight for 7 kilometers on the road-adjacent cycle path to Thallwitz. Immediately at the entrance to the town, turn right; the next two junctions go left. We cross the federal road again and notice Thallwitz Castle on the left with its extensive park. We follow the road to Kollau. From here we follow the main road, which is concrete-paved from the exit of the town. The path leads through a large nature reserve. With some luck, we can spot storks here during the summer months. Then we approach the main road B 87 and finally pass underneath it and a railway underpass, ending up in Eilenburg.
