We turn left onto Federal Road 2 just before the Mulde bridge to stay on the Mulde cycle path. Alternatively, we roll into the picturesque spa town. Just behind the Mulde bridge is the tourist information on the left with the 1000-year-old Düben castle directly behind it, from which there is a fantastic view. Back on the cycle path, we follow the route past the Altenhof manor and the "Red Bank" on the other side of the Mulde. We follow the course of the river, passing the dike path north of Löbnitz. We cross both the Alte Mulde and the Lober-Leine Canal before crossing the state border to Saxony-Anhalt unnoticed and reaching the main road L139, which we cross to the other side. Ahead of us lies the Großer Goitzschesee. The lake, which comes from a former open-cast mining area, is now a popular and lively local recreation area. We definitely visit the Goitzsche landscape park on the Pouch peninsula. Back on the cycle path, we continue closely along the beach line to the Bernsteinsee bathing beach. Here we turn right and cross the B 100. We now ride straight ahead and turn left into Kraftwerksstraße at the end of the Muldestausee north of Friedersdorf. We follow the road through a railway underpass. First, we keep left and at the next junction turn right heading north until we reach the main road L 139 again. Here we turn left onto the main road and follow it for about 300 meters. [We now turn left again into Zur Luther Linde street. We follow the street and cross the Mulde and the Leine-Durchstich.] Attention detour: Instead of turning into the path "Zur Luther Linde," we follow Jeßnitzer street to Roßdorf, where we turn right into Altjeßnitzer street at the edge of the town. The stage destination is reached in Altjeßnitz.
