The Freiberger Mulde winds romantically wild from the Czech Moldava through the Erzgebirge to Sermuth in the Leipzig lowlands.
A starting option to cycle downriver on the Mulderadweg is located in Holzhau. However, the source of the Freiberger Mulde lies nearby in the Czech Moldava in the Bohemian Erzgebirge. A trip to the source should not be missed. You enjoy the wind in your hair on the route downhill between green fir forests and past wide meadows. At Rechenberg-Bienenmühle, some smaller climbs must be overcome before the ride continues towards Freiberg. After another 50 kilometers full of exciting discovery opportunities, you reach Döbeln. Afterwards, the cycle path leads along the riverbank through a varied landscape past majestic castles and palaces. The Mulderadweg along the Freiberger Mulde is suitable for physically demanding cyclists due to its hilly terrain.
