A very beautiful cycle path on the disused and since 2004 asphalted railway line. Suitable for the whole family without major inclines. Combined foot/cycle path always following the right side (on the eastern bank) along the Mulde, on the route Großbothen-Wurzen originally laid out as a railway line in 1877.

The Muldentalbahn cycle path runs between the towns of Grimma and Wurzen along the united Mulde and covers just under 19 km on the route. Due to the fairly short distance, the route can easily be managed in one day with the possibility of longer stays at the start and end points.
