Here too, nearly 7 km with about 65 meters of elevation gain can be hiked in about three hours along the monuments located to the north. Some remarkable houses, along with other memorial stones, are the interesting destinations of this path.

While the memorial hiking trail with Route 1 is dedicated to the southern part of the sundial village Taubenheim, the curious can also explore the northern part of this locality in the municipality of Sohland a.d. Spree with regard to monuments.

The main focus of this hiking suggestion is on interesting buildings, be they half-timbered houses, the church, or the castle. Natural monuments, quiet cemeteries, and other granite stones complete the variety of noteworthy monuments in the village.

Here stones tell stories: how a pastor had to bury many of his children, how mothers mourned their sons and wives their husbands at the end of the 19th century because there was also war, how young men from both world wars never returned home, or how rock was extracted from the mountains and basalt preserved in a volcano from ancient times.
