The Oberhartmannsdorf circular trail leads us from the Rödel valley through the legendary Jahnsgrün, past the Holy Born and through the Hartmannsdorf forest. Duration approx. 2:20h Marking: white-yellow-white The Jahnsgrün bee nature trail is on the way. Take some extra time to visit it.

Hartmannsdorf is legendary. From the head forester's office in Hartmannsdorf, we head uphill via the Sandleite on the slopes of the Rödel valley towards Hirtsberg. We find the Heiligen Born - a holy well - which is well signposted. The former Jahnsgrün chapel is said to have been located nearby. It is said that a wild boar dug up the old bell. After the farm estates and the beautiful forests, the trail passes Wettiner Platz with the memorial stone commemorating the anniversary of the Wettin dynasty. Now we walk into the forest. There we pass the Waldschänke with wonderful views of Lindenau and the mountain town of Schneeberg with St. Wolfgang. We return to the forest and walk towards the end of the tour in the direction of Hirtsberg past the former military training area of the NVA and later the Bundeswehr. Once we arrive back at the old Oberförsterei, we can stop off at the Hotel and Pension Flechsig.

The Jahnsgrün bee nature trail is on the way. Take some extra time to visit it.
