The Vereinigte Mulde flows through the Leipzig region, past beautiful idyllic floodplain landscapes, through villages and historically significant towns such as Grimma and Wurzen.
Every year, one of Germany's largest paddling events takes place on this route. At the end of August, hundreds of water sports enthusiasts gather to complete this route from Grimma to Wurzen.
The route passes the impressive Trebsen castle and the Nitschka manor. Before that, you could take a break in Nerchau. On this route, two weir systems must be carried around.
