On this short loop starting from the Kühnhaide hiking parking lot, you will get to know a section of the Kammweg quality trail along the Grüner Graben in the idyllic Schwarwassertal nature reserve. Do not cross the stone arch bridge after 2 km, but continue straight ahead until you reach another crossing over the Schwarze Pockau. The unusual mobile Kaffee-Kurt forest café, which used to surprise hikers and cyclists at this point at weekends, is unfortunately closed. The wider Schwarzwassertalweg trail takes you back upstream to the start of the hike.
The Grüner Graben, an artificial moat created for mining as a masterpiece of mining engineering, will be extensively renovated in sections from 2022. The section between the "ehem. Kaffee-Kurt" and the water treading basin at Katzenstein is currently closed.
