- You start at the Klein Erzgebirge parking lot and walk along the Jakobsweg through the old town of Oederan to the Eselsweg. On leaving the town, the Jakobsweg turns right onto Plattenstraße and leads to the Kirschallee refuge. Now leave the Jakobsweg and continue along Kirschallee to Breitenau Hetzdorf and further uphill to the Hetzdorf viaduct (built 1866-1868, 42 m high). From the viaduct, walk back along Falkenauer Straße towards Breitenau until you reach Eseslweg. Follow this trail back to the Klein Erzgebirge, which invites you to take a look around and have a rest.
