In the footsteps of mining and timber processing of past times. This is a demanding hike from Altenberg via old mining paths.
You start at the Altenberg Tourist Information. From here, you hike towards Galgenteich via Schellerhauer Way. Turn left behind the large Galgenteich and continue straight ahead. At the end of the path, turn right onto Clearcut 31 and then left again onto Seifenflügelweg. Then continue onto Clearcut 28. Via the Old Tin Street and the country lane you pass Schellerhau. At the intersection in front of the Botanical Garden, turn left onto Mining Path and Tin Street, which leads you directly to Herklotzmühle. On the way back, follow Ditch Path, which runs parallel to Tal Street. At the end of the path, turn left towards Altenberg. Follow Fork Path and then back again via Seifenflügelweg and around Galgenteich to the starting point.
