The "Herbal nature trail" extends over a length of around 6 km in the forest area around the Kuhberg.
The route is designed in such a way that the villages of Schönheide, Stützengrün and Rothenkirchen are connected and hikers can access the trail from any point along the route. With our herbal nature trail, we want to convey the respect and connection of an entire region to local nature and promote the careful, thoughtful and mindful handling of the "fruits" of our homeland.

Directions
Starting at the Hotel Forstmeister, you reach the Kuhbergrundweg. After approx. 4 km, you reach the Stützengrün parking lot at the foot of the Kuhberg, where you will find numerous information boards and wooden seating groups. From here, the trail continues along a forest and meadow path to the market barn in Rothenkirchen. Over 200 native herbs, shrubs and trees can be found and are presented on numerous information boards. Trained herb educators accompany the hikers on this route and explain all "herb questions" professionally. The subsequent production of herbal spices, ointments, tinctures and herbal bread can be booked on request.
