Station of the Weißeritztalbahn Kipsdorf
After a visit to the beautifully designed KIpsdorf railroad station, you first walk - unfortunately on asphalt - approx. 1 km up Max-Reimann-Straße to Alte Böhmische Straße. Now turn half right along this road - Hüttenholzweg - with a wonderful view over the Pöbel valley back down into the valley. Once you reach the edge of the forest, you can see the completion of the Pöbeldamm dam through the trees to the left.
Just under 200 m before the path joins the main road, you can see a small logging area on the right and we hike up there. The line path finally leads over a small hill to the once prepared Bimmelbahn embankment, although a train never ran here. Via the path on the railroad embankment (yellow line) we reach the Brandweg in Schmiedeberg and find the stop of the Weißeritztalbahn.
Of course, you can also hike the tour in reverse.
