Where Luther preached

The Lutherweg in Saxony is part of the Central German Lutherweg with routes in Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia. At the same time, connections exist via the Way of St. James and via the Lutherweg in Bavaria to the international network of hiking trails. It is part of the pan-European offerings of spiritual tourism. What there is to see and experience can inspire you to rethink your daily life and inner orientation. Because sometimes it feels good to take a new path.

Discover in Torgau the Hartenfels Castle with the castle chapel and the current exhibition "Luther and the Princes." The route leads further to Süptitz, with a monument of the battle on the Süptitzer Heights. Another attraction on the route is the mill in Großwig and the bear column in Weidenhain. Additionally, the Pressel nature reserve with heathland lies along the way. Upon reaching Bad Düben, you can admire the historic castle, market, and ship mill. The church in Löbnitz can impress with the largest painted ceiling in Germany.
