Day trip by bus and Fichtelberg cable car to the roof of the Ore Mountains in the spa town of Oberwiesenthal, float and hike to the idyllic mountain village of Rittersgrün on the ridge trail.
Park the car in Rittersgrün near the Halbmeiler Weg bus stop - take the 10:25 bus line 330 to the Rittersgrün/Halbmeiler Str. stop. to Oberwiesenthal/Markt - either visit the K3 and winter sports museum or continue straight to the Fichtelberg cable car - ride up to the summit - enjoy the view and stop for refreshments - then start on the Kammweg to the Bächelhütte - along the Grenzweg, via Tellerhäuser - Zweibach - Ehrenzipfel - stop at the Bikertreff - then at the entrance to Rittersgrün follow the "Alternative KAMM" signs - pass the natural swimming pool and turn left along Kunnersbachstraße to get to your car.
