This very varied tour takes us from the German Space Exhibition first on the left side of the "Great Pyra" along a ridge "Wildbahn" up to 860 m above sea level with beautiful views, past the oldest spruce stand in the new federal states (nature reserve "3 Bächle" over 220 years old) into the forest hamlet Sachsengrund. Shortly afterwards, the hiking tour continues on the little used road to the "Köhlerhäusel". Now the path changes to the other side of the "Great Pyra" and now runs on the left side directly along the stream over the millrace to Morgenröthe. Here we reach the mighty blast furnace of the former iron foundry Morgenröthe (technical monument). Further downhill the path leads past the carp pond and on the millrace to Rautenkranz to the radium spring, which is only a few hundred meters from the starting point.
