The hike follows the quality hiking trail Kammweg Erzgebirge-Vogtland for a while before turning left in Rehefeld-Zaunhaus. At the SWF Sporthotel, the tour rejoins the Kammweg and follows it to the starting point.
Start the tour at the Neurehefeld border crossing. Follow the ridge path in the direction of Rehefeld-Zaunhaus past the Hemmschuh nature reserve. In Rehefeld Zaunhaus, turn left towards the center of the village. Continue on the white-red-white markings through Rehefeld Zanunhaus along the Grabenweg to the Zinnbrücke bridge. From there, continue on the white-yellow-white markings along the Becherbachweg to Neuhermsdorf as far as the former railroad station. From there, follow the ridge path back to the starting point in Neurehefeld.
