Short round trip along the Bimmelbahn to the Cranzahl dam and back to Hammerunterwiesenthal
The cycle tour to the dam in Cranzahl starts and ends at the "Rotes Haus" inn in Hammerunterwiesenthal and is 19 km long. The Bimmelbahn adventure trail takes you to Niederschlag station along the railroad line to the dam of the reservoir. A beautiful rest area with a great view of the dam invites you to linger. The tour leads back to Niederschlag station via the dam inlet and the forest nature trail at the Toskabank to the Bimmelbahn adventure trail. The route continues uphill to the Bachberg above Hammerunterwiesenthal with beautiful views of the Fichtelberg and Keilberg. Now it's downhill past the two historic lime kilns to the starting point at the "Rotes Haus" inn.
