The village of Kürbitz is located in the idyllic valley of the Weiße Elster, surrounded by the green hilly landscape of the Saxon Vogtland. The bike route covers over 40 km.

The picturesque village scene of the 600-inhabitant village is shaped by its well-known Salvatorkirche (built from 1624 to 1626), which already shapes the view of the village from afar with its octagonal tower and impresses inside with its rich furnishings. In the middle of the village, an old arch bridge has connected both banks of the Weiße Elster for 700 years. With its 7 arches over 46 meters in length, it is one of the oldest stone arch bridges in Germany. Cycling around the village of Kürbitz, however, reveals even more to discover: small village churches that breathe Vogtland history, testimonies of the German-German division at the Green Belt of Europe, magnificent views of the Vogtland hilly landscape that make you forget the effort of the climbs. Along the way, small village inns invite you to linger.
