This city walk takes you to the most important medieval legacies in Weida, when the seat of power of the Vögte von Weida was located here.

Meeting point is the car park at Semmelweispark (Wallstraße) with the fountain. This square is home to the former nunnery of the Dominican nuns. Only 100 m away you reach the Peterskirche. The Café Sieben in the immediate vicinity invites you to linger. Continue your walk to the marketplace to the town hall. Now follow the signs to the town church, which is located behind the bridge over the river Weida. Take a look inside the worth-seeing interior. Through a passage on the right-hand side of the church you reach the Widenkirche. From Erkenbertplatz at the selfie point, you have a nice view of the Osterburg. It then forms the crowning conclusion of the city walk. Take the route there over the pedestrian bridge.
