Agriculture and the associated old farm complexes characterize the region in the northern Vogtland.
Experience the beauty of northern Vogtland on a “country excursion.” The region is predominantly shaped by agriculture. In some parts, it was also affected by mining, and recultivation efforts can be observed in some places. The symbolic village character has largely been preserved in the localities. Lovingly restored farm complexes illustrate this vividly and unfold their charm. Club buildings, farm shops, and farmer’s gardens bear witness to this, as well as the existing agricultural businesses. Worth visiting are the museum “Schusterhaus” and the Galerie Vierseithof in Großenstein, the farm complex 14 in Baldenhain, the playground and church in Pölzig, as well as the church in Groitschen where you may be lucky to observe kestrels.
