Course of the trail (circular hiking trail):
From the Saigerhütte area (part of UNESCO World Heritage) leads the EB (red) long-distance trail through the industrial area to the Heidenweg. At the gas station, we keep right, continuing on the EB (red). At the next intersection, the long-distance trail turns left onto the Königsweg. We follow the Königsweg uphill and later through the beech forest to the Schaaldenkmal. The EB (red) is left behind and at the monument, we turn sharply left towards the Bruchberg. A short steep ascent follows. We come to a junction with signposts. There, we turn right towards the Bruchberg. Before the path descends, it is a few meters to the Bruchberg (668 m). We then go back a bit to the named junction. The path to the left rises slightly and is partly wet. Continuing straight, we leave a transmission mast on the right. We go straight through the clearing and cross the Red Deer Trail. The path continues straight ahead, then we keep slightly downhill to the left. The Sophienstein (703.5 m, viewpoint) is about 50 m to the right of the path. After the view towards Brandov, we return the same way and head towards the Stößerfelsen. This path is partly damp; we turn onto the Erikaweg. Shortly after, we reach the RIDGEway (blue). Turning left, we make a short detour to the Stößerfelsen (683 m, rest and viewpoint). Then we descend on the Stößerfelsenweg/ RIDGEway (blue) towards Pföbe. We come to the Sedanweg, which we follow to Pföbe. We cross the S 216. The path continues to the starting point at the Saigerhütte area. We have reached our destination.
