Challenging hike from the romantic Rabenauer Grund through an adventurous gorge over the Somsdorfer Höhe to the edge of the forestry town Tharandt and through the valley of the Wilde Weißeritz back to Freital.

The route begins in the wild romantic Rabenauer Grund, which is left after a short distance via a steep gorge towards Somsdorf. Iron stairs and chains make this section a real adventure. In Somsdorf, a beautiful view over Freital awaits you. Over the heights, it goes to the slopes of the valley of the Wilde Weißeritz. At the Sonnentempel, the descent to the forestry town of Tharandt begins. A detour into the town or to the forest botanical garden is worthwhile there. Those who want can break off here and return by bus or train. Those who are still good on foot take the Leitenweg in the valley to Hainsberg. Alternatively, one can take the Brüderweg on the slope of the other side of the valley. However, there it goes steeply uphill again. For that, you are rewarded with spectacular views.
