Rudolf-Breitscheid-Straße, Marienberg OT Reitzenhain
We begin our tour on Rudolf-Breitscheid-Straße in Reitzenhain and proceed over the old border crossing towards the former malt house. From here, we walk right along to the Stülpner Monument. Here we turn left and hike two kilometers through the heath. At the crossroads, we turn right over the old railway track and then left. Past the pond, the path leads us to the Patzelt Memorial Stone and the railway underpass. We continue to the left to Talstraße. A hike through the valley "Bezručovo údolí" (Grundtal) is worthwhile here. However, we sharply turn right uphill through the valley, past the railway viaduct Hora Svatého Šebestiána, and cross the street straight ahead. In the village, we go downhill over the main street and turn right onto the path to Jilmová (Ulmbach), which leads us to the border crossing to Satzung. We go left, up Satzung’s main street, to the church and then turn right into Kirchgasse to the upper village street and continue to the sports ground. From there, we follow the ridge trail marking to the right up to Hirtstein. We follow the Hirtstein path to Steinbacher Straße. From here, we go left to Auerhahnweg and turn right into it up to Doppelflügelweg. There, we walk again to the right to the main street and turn left to the former inn "Neue Welt" and then again right into the Reißigmühle. We cross the B 174 and walk along the Zeuggraben to the starting point.
