Hike through the fascinating Mulde landscape near Grimma via the certified holiday village of Höfgen and the grounds of the Nimbschen Monastery ruins.
Beyond the Pöppelmann Bridge out of Grimma's old town, the Path of Stones, a thematic hiking trail, runs parallel to the Mulde River to Höfgen. Along the way, hikers pass the city forest, the Rabenstein, which offers a wide view over the river landscape, and the stone cliffs. The path is adorned with sculptures by renowned artists. The village of senses, with its remarkable old farmsteads, orchard meadows, and the wild romantic Mulde, becomes a true experience. From Höfgen, one crosses over to Nimbschen by a hand-operated cable ferry, thus paving the way past the well-known monastery ruins back to Grimma's urban area.
