Hohnstein: To Brandaussicht

The hike starts in Hohnstein at the market. First, at the Bergsportladen Arnold, turn onto the green trail into Rathausstraße. Follow this path past the Tourist Information until the fork to Alte Brandstraße on the blue trail.

After a few meters, leave this path to turn right onto the street “Am Breiten Stein.” Staying on this street, there is soon a short detour on the right to Ritterfels. Here you have a wonderful view of Hohnstein Castle.

Back on the forest path, follow it further as it leads slightly right straight ahead as a narrow path. At the next but one fork, at a bench, walk to the next fork, then turn right onto Neuweg. Soon you will meet the Malerweg marking and keep right again. Now follow the Malerweg marking to Brandbaude or Brandaussicht.

The return path initially leads back on the same wide path. However, stay on this path and follow the blue marking back to the market.
