The BLOCKLINE is a unique bike adventure in the Erzgebirge. Ideal terrain for explorers: whether with e-bike, classic mountain bike, or gravel bike. In addition to the bike signage (counterclockwise), the theme of wood connects the route between the international winter sports center Altenberg and the toy village Seiffen: wooden portals, information boards, milestones, and motif milestones guide the way into a land of impressive panoramas. For families, cycling the BLOCKLINE in stages is especially recommended. On site, bike partners offer rentals of children's mountain bikes. www.blockline.bike/Familie

The BLOCKLINE is a fully signposted bike route. It runs counterclockwise. You can start anywhere, preferably at one of the BLOCKLINE portals or one of the BLOCKLINE accommodations (BLOCKLINE Inns). The route is especially enjoyable with the BLOCKLINE starter package.

Entry is possible at any point on the route. The official start/finish portal is located in Holzhau. From there, the route follows the old railway embankment and the Czech border through the Hemmschuh nature reserve to Rehefeld. Wooden portals, milestones and motif milestones (carved figures) show you the way into a land of impressive panoramas, unique rock formations, reservoirs, lush mountain meadows and streams. The route continues over the Kahleberg viewpoint along the Georgenfelder Hochmoor to Altenberg. Then the route winds along the towns of Schellerhau, over the Stephanshöhe viewpoint to Hermsdorf, Frauenstein, Mulda and Blockhausen. Experience sculptures of chainsaw art and an adventure playground before the BLOCKLINE continues through the towns of Dorfchemnitz and Sayda. Past the museums in Neuhausen, our route leads you into the "toy village" Seiffen and over the Schwartenberg viewpoint along the border back to Holzhau.
